I don’t know about you but coming back to school after fall break was extremely difficult. Each day I find it harder and to pull myself out of bed and go to class. Some days are better than others, and some feel like they will never end. Senioritis is definitely getting the best of me. One of the best things I’ve learned in college is that things will get better. I’m sure you’ve heard this saying a thousand times before, but it is so true! I have personally experienced this time after time and it is the reason I’ve pushed through.
This semester I tried challenging myself by taking 18 credits while working 3 jobs. I sound crazy, I know. But for me, it needed to happen. Throughout the semester, I’ve experienced several roadblocks in my path. Each one felt impossible to get through, but I kept telling myself, “things will get better, I will get through this” and it did! The best things that have happened to me so far have happened right after I got through something difficult.
I’m not telling you my story to pity me. I’m telling my hardships for the girl reading this blog, feeling like she has the weight of the world on her shoulders. For the girl who also struggles with pulling herself out of bed each morning. You are not alone.
The mantra “things will get better” has worked for me, but it might not work for everyone and that’s okay. Find what mantra will help you carry on like these.

If you have read my other posts, you know I’m big on self-help and self-care. If you don't know what this is, here is a great article that goes over self-care and the different types. I am a firm believer in working on oneself because it helps with everything in life: mental health, physical health, relationships, work, school, everything. I am constantly looking for new ways to better work on me, and today I stumbled upon this list that I think anyone could find something from.

Always remember that some days will be good, and some days will be bad, but it’s the bad days that help you see the good ones. Fall break was fun, and now we’re halfway to winter break. You’ve got this. Don’t give up now.
