Right about now, you're probably nearing midterms which means a load of studying, exam taking, and project finalizing. It can be easy to get overwhelmed during this time. The good thing is, you're not alone. I've been there, and am currently feeling that right now. There are tons of other students that are feeling this way as well. It is completely normal. Here are some ways to fight back and manage the maddness of midterms:

1. Schedule Time To Actually Study
Scheduling time will not only help keep you from procrastinating, but it will also help keep you focused. Study for the full hour or whatever you decide is a good amount, and then reward yourself with a quick walk or stretch, a snack, and then get back at it. This keeps you focused and ready to keep going. Here's a great article that shows you how so you can juggle everything else going on in your life.

2. Turn Your Phone Off
Seriously. Turn it off. It's one thing to just set it down or put it across the room, but you can still here it go off when you get a new notification (even when it's on vibrate). By turning your phone off, it will help you stay more focused on your studying and you won't spend an hour playing on it. Believe me, I am definitely one of those that only intends to spend 5 minutes on my phone and it turns into an hour in the blink of an eye. If you want to see how much time you actually spend on your phone, check your screen time. This article shows you how if you have an iPhone, and if you're anything like me, you'll be shocked about just how much it actually is.

3. Don't Fuel Your Body With Garbage
No, I'm not saying you need to go on a diet. I AM saying fuel your body better, especially when you are going through a stressful time. It's easy to grab something from McDonald's or Wendy's so you don't have to cook, but the fact of the matter is you need good food to keep your body running. Don't believe me? Check out this article that goes more in depth with reasons why. I know I definitely feel better when I eat well!
Hopefully these tips help you get through your midterms! And just remember, fall break is just around the corner. YOU GOT THIS!
